Job Description

As a consultant, you will work with diverse clients across various industries, providing expert guidance and hands-on support to optimize their development pipelines, automate infrastructure management, and improve overall system reliability. You'll be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and scalable solutions representing Dipole.

 

Job Responsibility:

Working as a Software Devops Engineer to provide technical design services for upgrading a client’s cybersecurity infrastructure under guidance of the client.

The list below is a broad list of responsibilities relating to technical design services.

Current State Assessment: Responsible for analyzing the existing hosting environment for each cybersecurity platform, including logging and monitoring systems, syslog aggregation, and vulnerability management. This involves documenting current architecture, configurations, resource allocations (CPU, memory, storage), network dependencies, and integration points. Identify internal and external dependencies and record performance baselines to inform the future-state design.

Target Environment Integration Design: Define the deployment and integration approach within the new infrastructure. This includes ensuring compatibility with existing standardsand alignment with future capacity and operational objectives. Specify deployment details and identify necessary adjustments to networking, load balancing, or storage for seamless integration.

Migration Strategy Development: A key responsibility is developing a structured migration approach that minimizes service disruption. This includes defining the migration pathway, sequencing, and tooling, as well as outlining step-by-step transition plans and establishing rollback procedures for safe recovery.

Risk Analysis and Mitigation: Identify technical and operational gaps between the current and target environments. This involves evaluating potential risks to migration success and proposing specific mitigation strategies to minimize those risks.

Compliance and Governance: Tasked with ensuring all migration designs align with applicable security, operational, and governance standards. Responsibilities include preparing migration artifacts for review, such as security control mappings and compliance verifications.

Documentation and Deliverables: Produce several high-level technical documents, including:

    ◦ High-Level Solution Design (HLSD) and Integration Design Packs.

    ◦ Migration Strategy and Rollback Plans.

    ◦ Risk Analysis Reports.

    ◦ Platform Onboarding Reports and Handover Documentation Packs.

Project Initiation and Coordination: Responsible for developing a Stakeholders Matrix (R&R) and a high-level delivery timeline at the start of the project. You will also need to collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) during workshops to gather detailed information and address feedback during documentation review cycles.
